Phil is responsible for testing and validation of the gene editing systems in human cells across platform development and therapeutic areas at Life Edit Therapeutics.
Prior to joining Life Edit, he worked at Janelia Research Campus, Howard Hughes Medical Center’s flagship research institution, where he engineered genetically encoded sensors for neurotransmitters and small molecules.
Phil received his Ph.D. in Biology from Johns Hopkins University, where he studied the developmental interactions between the sympathetic nervous system and pancreatic islets. He also holds a B.A. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Boston College.
