Senior Administrative Assistant
The Role:
Life Edit is looking for a highly organized and proactive Sr. Administrative Assistant to support the SVP of R&D. This role is perfect for someone with strong administrative skills, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to create an engaging and professional work environment. You’ll be the go-to person for ensuring our office operations, executive support, and internal events run seamlessly.
Here’s What You’ll Do:
- Provide calendar management, expense reporting, and general administrative support to SVP of R&D and other members of the leadership team.
- Ensure the workspace is optimized to encourage collaboration, engagement and efficiency, including seating plan updates.
- Coordinate meetings and internal events, including support with travel arrangements and expense tracking.
- Provide ad hoc front desk coverage and assist with general office management tasks.
- Work closely with other Executive Assistants and administrative staff across the company to align processes and ensure consistency.
- Ensure alignment with individuals across ElevateBio for company events.
- Identify and address office needs before they become issues, filtering and prioritizing tasks as necessary.
- Facilitate leadership meetings – ie: crafting agenda, meeting minutes
- Partner closely with People & Culture and other functions to support initiatives related to fostering a positive company culture
Requirements:
- Prior Executive Assistant or high-level administrative experience strongly preferred.
- Prior experience working in biotech environment is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Experience fostering a workplace culture that promotes collaboration, team connectivity and efficiency.
- Ability to anticipate needs, problem-solve proactively, maintain discretion and confidentiality.
- Experience in a corporate setting, with an understanding of business operations and professional office dynamics.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to connect with colleagues at all levels.
- Ability to work onsite in Durham, NC
