Gunjan is a certified project management professional spearheading various alliance-specific projects. Previously, at Life Edit, as a Scientist I, Gunjan explored novel PAM sites and their impact on gene editing.
Before her tenure at Life Edit, Gunjan held the position of Senior Research Associate at Ribometrix Inc., where she specialized in optimizing and producing gram-scale target unlabeled and biotin-conjugated RNAs essential for drug discovery screenings. Prior to that, she served as a Research Associate and Laboratory Manager at North Carolina State University’s Smart Lab, investigating the role of long non-coding RNA and C/EBPs in apoptosis, skin cancer development, and regression. She also contributed to the Mackay/Anholt laboratories at NC State University as a Research Specialist and Laboratory Manager, exploring the genetic architecture of olfactory behavior in Drosophila melanogaster.
Gunjan holds a BHMS in Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery from Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University, Pune, India, and an MS in Genetics from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
