Hui-Chia works on functional characterization and activity improvement of novel RNA-guided nucleases and base editors.
Prior to joining Life Edit, she was a post-doc researcher at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill, where she led a project on dissecting the mechanism the epithelial cells use to maintain integrity.
Hui-Chia received her B.S. in Life Science and MS in Structural Biology in Taiwan, and her PhD in Cell and Developmental Biology from the University of Illinois-Urbana Champaign, where she applied different biochemical assays to characterize protein function.
