Nick is a part of the Technology Development team at Life Edit Therapeutics, where he specifically plays a role in the protein engineering efforts.
Prior to Life Edit, Nick worked for four years as a protein engineer at the synthetic biology company Cellibre, where he was named as an inventor on three patents.
Nick earned a PhD in Biochemistry, Biophysics and Molecular Biology from the University of Georgia, where he specialized in structural biology and biophysics. Throughout his studies, he co-authored over 10 publications and served as the lead author of a groundbreaking Nature publication. This notable publication unveiled a novel mechanistic role of intrinsically disordered peptide segments.
