Zhijie focuses on gaining deep structural insights into Life Edit’s growing collection of novel genome editing proteins and improving technology platforms and lead campaigns to expand Life Edit’s therapeutic capabilities. He has over 10 years of experience in the field of Structural Biology and has solved eight protein structures.
Prior to joining Life Edit, Zhijie was a postdoc researcher and research associate at Princeton University, North Carolina State, and University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he expanded his expertise and experiences in Structural Biology and Biochemistry.
Zhijie received his PhD at the Institute of Biophysics (Beijing, China), where he utilized structural biology approaches and provided the molecular basis in the discovery of the novel mechanism of heat-induced homeoviscous adaptation.
